This is commendable work by the Snaith Group and Oxford PV. Their tandem approach is looking very likely to succeed commercially and hopefully for the betterment of us all. There are also some interesting advancements from Swift Solar with their printed flexible PSCs. The ability to upscale is the key, if you are interested in how to simulate and optimize your devices then Fluxim has software called Laoss  https://www.fluxim.com/laoss that can save researchers a lot of trial and error before fabrication.
