According to reports, China Construction Second Engineering Bureau is working on a major renewable energy project in Baisha Industrial Park, Jiangjin. The company is building a 3GW perovskite solar cell module base.

As a large perovskite solar cell module production base in Southwest China and a core element of the Jiangjin photovoltaic industry chain, the project has recently completed the key phase of installing the metal roof on the steel structure factory building. Decoration and finishing works are now in full progress, with completion and delivery expected by the end of October 2026.
Once operational, the base is projected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 6 billion yuan. The facility will support a wide range of photovoltaic applications, strengthen the regional supply chain, fill industrial gaps in Southwest China, and contribute to building Chongqing into a national-level photovoltaic industry cluster.
The project is led by Wuxi Zhongneng Photovoltaic & Storage Co., Ltd., a company founded in December 2021 that specializes in the R&D, production, and manufacturing of large-area perovskite solar cell modules, both rigid and flexible.
Guided by its vision of “bringing clean and sustainable energy to every corner of the world,” the company focuses on zero-carbon energy innovation across four key directions: flexible perovskite PV technology, space perovskite PV, rigid perovskite PV, and integrated clean and sustainable energy solutions.
