Aisin

Aisin is a large Japanese automotive components and systems supplier that has become an active player in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). 

It leverages long‑standing expertise in materials, thin‑glass processing and mass manufacturing from the automotive sector to develop thin, lightweight and bendable perovskite modules aimed at applications where conventional silicon is less suitable, such as building‑integrated PV and mobility surfaces. 

Aisin is conducting grid‑connected perovskite demonstration projects at its own facilities to evaluate real‑world performance, installation aspects and system behavior, and is involved in national next‑generation solar initiatives and large public‑private consortia for flexible PSC commercialization. 

Together with its role as a founding member of Japan’s new perovskite solar industry association, this places Aisin among the key Japanese industrial companies pushing perovskite technology toward practical deployment.
