Bilight Innovation

Perovskite solar startup Bilight Innovation was founded in China in 2023.

BiLight specializes in perovskite photovoltaic products, integrating R&D, production, and sales. BiLight's co-founding team members have over 20 years of experience in display screens, flexible materials, and perovskites. With comprehensive capabilities from product R&D and production line planning to mass production and market launch, the team provides strong support for the development and mass production of BiLight's perovskite photovoltaic devices.

In September 2025, Bilight Innovation announced the completion of an angel investment round. Investors included a listed Japanese company and a Chinese state-owned investment institution, though the exact amount has not been disclosed. The company claims to have successfully produced what it describes as the world’s lightest, thinnest, and most flexible perovskite PV devices on its pilot line. These devices are reportedly only 0.1 mm thick, bendable, and rollable, suitable for curved surfaces, wearable devices, and aerospace applications. Bilight is now expanding its perovskite product portfolio for applications such as consumer electronics and BIPV.

In January 2026, BiLight unveiled 3 perovskite-based innovations at CES.
