It was reported that Chinese state-owned company China Huaneng has established and put into operation the world's first 5 megawatt commercial-grade perovskite photovoltaic demonstration base in the Qinghai Province Gonghe Photovoltaic Park, marking a significant transition of China's perovskite photovoltaic technology from the laboratory stage to large-scale demonstration applications.
The project will validate the power generation performance and reliability of advanced perovskite photovoltaics in environments with high ultraviolet radiation, thereby supporting the iterative upgrade of China's perovskite photovoltaic technology.
The launch marks a major leap for perovskite technology, from laboratory research to real-world application, paving the way for large-scale deployment across the country, the company said.
