GCL Perovskite, the perovskite subsidiary of GCL Group, has announced that its commercial perovskite PV module developed in-house has successfully passed triple-strength accelerated aging tests based on international standards IEC 61215:2021 and IEC 61730:2023.
According to the company, it is the world’s first perovskite module to pass such stringent certification. The tests, conducted by TÜV Rheinland, extended the duration or cycle counts of critical aging procedures, such as damp heat and thermal cycling, to 3 times the standard requirements. The company said that its perovskite module showed ‘excellent reliability and performance’ throughout the rigorous evaluation that simulated long-term module degradation under extreme conditions.
Recently, GCL Perovskite launched the ‘world's first’ perovskite AI high-throughput device.
