A glimpse into Perovskite Connect 2026: scaling tandem solar cells from lab results to mass manufacturing

Perovskite Connect 2026 is set to be the industry's premier event, taking place on 21-22 October 2026 in Berlin, with a world-class agenda, exhibition and networking opportunities. Co-located with the Future of Electronics RESHAPED, Perovskite Connect will focus on the perovskite supply chain, solar applications, recent innovations, materials and processes.

In this article we will introduce some of our speakers and themes at the event. You can explore the full agenda and event details here.

Tandem solar cells: from lab records to commercial manufacturing

Perovskite-silicon tandems remain the technology's clearest path to commercial impact, and this year's agenda reflects just how fast the field is moving from record efficiencies toward factory-floor reality. Several of our speakers will share where their tandem programs stand today - and what it will take to get to gigawatt scale.

Oxford PV will open the tandem discussion with a look at the era of perovskite-on-silicon, detailing how the company is moving from lab-record efficiencies to delivering commercial 30%+ modules to the global market.

China's Kunshan GCL Optoelectronic Material will make the case for a four-terminal tandem architecture over a two-terminal one for mass production, explaining how the approach aligns with the practical properties of perovskite materials at scale.

Microquanta will build on that theme, presenting the latest progress on its own four-terminal perovskite tandem technology - including its industrial readiness, its fit for building-integrated PV, and how the architecture's flexibility opens new deployment options where installation area is limited.

US-based tandem specialist Tandem PV and cell maker Qcells will each bring a manufacturing lens to the stage: Qcells will detail its journey from lab records to industrial M10 wafer production, addressing what changes - and what doesn't - as tandem cells move onto standard silicon wafer formats.

Caelux will share its own scale-up story, from 110 cm² lab devices to full-size, roughly 1x2 m perovskite "active glass" panels, discussing the strategic decisions - and the remaining challenges - behind scaling by nearly 200 times.

Rounding out the session, imec/EnergyVille will present its work on structures and processes for upscaling perovskite modules and tandems, addressing what's needed to move lab-scale device architectures toward full wafer and module formats.

Perovskite Connect 2026: time to reserve your seat!

These are just some of the talks on this year's agenda, alongside sessions on materials, processes, testing and sustainability. Perovskite Connect is co-located with the Future of Electronics RESHAPED, giving attendees full access to both conference tracks and the shared exhibition floor.
