Perovskite-Connect 2025 is set to be the industry’s premier event, with a world-class agenda, exhibition and networking opportunities. Co-located with Europe’s leading printed electronics event, Perovskite-Connect will focus on the perovskite supply chain, solar applications, recent innovations, materials and processes.
In this article we will introduce some more of our speakers and themes at the event. You can explore the full agenda and event details here.
Perovskite solar applications
In a previous article we introduced four perovskite PV developers - Microquanta, Oxford PV, Perovskia and Swift Solar. But there will be more solar companies that will present at Perovskite-Connect.
One example is Halocell Energy, that during Perovskite-Connect 2025 will detail the company's fully scalable roll-to-roll printing process that has been developed to produce lightweight, flexible perovskite solar modules. The company's modules feature high power density in low-light environments and extended lifetimes, particularly suited for IoT applications requiring long-term autonomous operation.
US-based Beyond Silicon, developer of bifacial perovskite/silicon tandem cells will also give a talk, focused on the company's solution processing based tandem panel manufacuturing process.
India-based PV-ART will detail the company's 2-Terminal monolithic silicon/CdTe-perovskite tandem solar cell, and how it achieved a conversion efficiency of 29.8%.
Finally, US-based Caelux will discuss the key economic and logistics challenges that the conventional solar industry faces, and show how high energy density solar directly addresses cost, land use, and efficiency limitations.
Perovskite process innovations
One of the promises of perovskite devices is the process efficiency - and indeed researchers and companies are designing novel processes and production systems that enable low-cost deposition of high performance solar panels. These processes and deposition technologires are key to the future success of the perovskite industry.
At Perovskite-Connect 2025, SALD will detail how Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) is a key enabling technology for semiconductor manufacturing. Spatial ALD (s-ALD) enables parallel exposure of precursor and co-reactant operating at atmospheric pressure which makes it seamlessly compatible with R2R processing. SALD will detail its robust R2R s-ALD solution which can operate at 100 times higher web speed, and will give several examples of functional inter-layers in perovskite solar cells will be showcased from passivation, charge transport and high performance moisture barrier layers. ᐧ
Spatial-ALD is indeed a highly promising technology, and SPARKNANO will also give a talk centered around the technology, detailing its own advances towards a spatial ALD production system tailored for the scalable production of perovskite solar panels.
UK-based Aerosol will disclose its innovating aerosol-assisted solvent treatment technology, taht enables remarkable performance improvements in perovskite solar cells.
Finally, Prof. Luigi Vesce from the University of Rome Tor Vergata will present its pioneering new research in which a fully printed fabrication approach was developed, that redefines the path toward high-throughput, low- impact solar module manufacturing. This is a streamlined process in which all functional layers—perovskite absorber, charge transport materials, and electrodes—are deposited via scalable printing techniques, including blade coating, slot-die coating, and screen printing. By integrating low-temperature carbon-based electrodes, the researchers explored multiple device architectures ranging from HTL-free designs to those employing both organic and inorganic hole transport layers. The results of this research demonstrate that fully printed perovskite technology is not only technically viable but also industrially compelling, setting the stage for next-generation photovoltaic solutions tailored for both outdoor and indoor applications.
