LONGi has reportedly signed a cooperation agreement with China Three Gorges Energy and the Three Gorges Research Institute, subsidiaries of the major Chinese energy developer China Three Gorges Corporation.
The collaboration will focus on new energy project cooperation, technological innovation, industrial resource coordination, technological upgrades, and diversified partnerships. Under the agreement, the 3 parties will jointly establish the National Key Laboratory for Perovskite Technology, which will conduct research and development on perovskite cell mass production processes, tandem cell efficiency improvements, and the integration of core equipment.
Recently, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) approved 5 group standards led by LONGi, including one on Spectral Response Testing for Perovskite Single-Junction Photovoltaic Cells (T/CPIA 0109-2025), which adopts differential spectral technology to unify laboratory testing standards and eliminate data deviations caused by equipment differences, paving the way for perovskite technology development and commercialization.
