In May 2024, Renshine Solar announced its plans open a gigawatt-scale perovskite PV module factory in Jiangsu province, with a planned investment of CNY 1 billion ($138 million). Now, the perovskite PV manufacturer has reportedly launched the construction of its GW-level perovskite manufacturing facility in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province.
The project, which will see the company invest RMB 1.25 billion ($171.24 million) as per updated reports, includes a GW-scale perovskite manufacturing facility, the company’s headquarters, and a global technology innovation center. According to the plan, the factory is expected to be completed and put into production by early 2026.
RenShine Solar has already established a 10 MW perovskite tandem pilot line and a 150 MW mass production line in Changshu. Renshine recently also announced that its mass-produced 30 × 40 cm large perovskite tandem module achieved a conversion efficiency of 26.12%.
