SolaEon’s commercial perovskite module reaches 20.7% efficiency

Perovskite manufacturer SolaEon has announced that it has set a new world record by achieving a certified power conversion efficiency of 20.7% on a full-area (0.72 m²) single-junction perovskite module (1.2 × 0.6 m), as verified by China National Institute of Metrology. 

The company says it is the first time that any perovskite module has surpassed the 20% efficiency threshold at a square-meter scale, delivering an output of 149 W. SolaEon recently commissioned a 200 MW perovskite production line in March, which is said to be in volume production with commercial orders being delivered and a reported yield exceeding 95%.

In April, SolaEon announced that its all-perovskite tandem solar cell achieved a certified conversion efficiency of 31.38%.
