SolarCube

SolarCube was a U.S-based solar energy startup that has licensed U.S. Navy patented solar cell technology. The Company targeted commercial solar panel installations and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The technology was titlted “spray deposition method for inorganic nanocrystal solar cells” technology. The solar manufacturing technique reportedly uses nanomaterials to allow photovoltaic solar modules to be manufactured using an affordable, ink-jet like printing process, according to Jeff Croisetiere, chief operations officer at SolarCube.

SolarCube aimed to also apply the technology to building-integrated photovoltaics, e.g., solar cells that are also the roof tiles, or windows glazed with semi-transparent solar cells. As far as we know the company is no longer in business
